Shannon Vallor Assistant Professor of Philosophy (Ph.D., Boston College, 2001) Main areas of research and teaching emphasis are phenomenology, philosophy of science and technology, and philosophy of mind. Her research explores phenomenological approaches to problems in contemporary analytic metaphysics and epistemology. Her dissertation, completed in 2001, is entitled “How We Think About Things: Reference in Husserl and the Analytic Tradition”. Recent publications have appeared in the Journal of Consciousness Studies and in the collected volume Intentionality: Past and Future (2005).
