To gain practical experience and apply their education to real-world problems, PHS majors must devote > 100 hours to an internship. These will typically be done with organizations outside SCU, such as clinics, community health agencies, or county health departments. Some internships are paid positions; students may arrange for course credit for volunteer internships. Assistance in identifying and applying for internships is provided through the PHS Director's office.
