Mr. DeHart received a B.S. degree in Physics from MIT in 1966 while an active member of the United States Navy. In 1971, he received a M.S. in Physics from San Jose State University. He has taught physics and mathematics at numerous institutions including Evergreen Valley College, West Valley College, Mission College, and San Francisco City College. Since coming to Santa Clara in 1973, Mr. DeHart has advanced his interests in gravitation and Unified Field Theories.
