Mr. Tharaud graduated from the Acadamy of Aeronautics in 1949. He has worked for aircraft manufacturers Boeing and Beechcraft and spent four years at the San Francisco International Airport as a Flight Line Mechanic. Subsequently, he spent 16 years in the Eimac Division of Varian Inc. as a Vacuum Tube Technician. Since coming to Santa Clara in 1978, Mr. Tharaud has become one of the most sought after people on campus, where he is known as a man that can build literally anything! Mr. Tharaud's expertise was recently honored when he became the first winner of the Nancy Keil Award for Excellence in Service
