For Political Science Majors Graduating in Winter or Spring 2013

 

Graduating Seniors Can Start Turning in their Paperwork to the Poli Sci Dept. AFTER January 7, 2013.

1. Fill out the "Candidacy Petition for Bachelor's Degree" and "Pre-Graduation Evaluation" forms (you can get them from the Registrar 's or the Poli Sci department office). You should use your degree audit on Ecampus to complete the pre-grad evaluation.  Remember to include classes that are in progress and classes you still need to take in spring quarter.

2. Take the Senior Survey online at http://www.scu.edu/cas/polisci/students/exit-survey.cfm

3. Once the Poli Sci office reviews your paperwork, we'll email you to pick up the signed copies and walk them to the Registrar's office.

*** Special Note: Students seeking DOUBLE DEGREES will need to submit all graduation forms for both degrees plus the "Petition for Double Degrees" form to Nedra Shrunk in the Drahmann Center before turning them in to the Registrar's office. She will contact you once they are completed to pick them up.

*** To obtain a Double Degree you must have completed all requirements for both degress and have at least 220 units.

Missing Requirements:

The University Registrar will review your coursework and ensure that you have met all academic requirements for graduation.  If you are missing requirements the Registrar will request that you return to SCU to complete all missing requirements, which include but are not limited to coursework you may drop after the graduation paperwork has been submitted.

Participation in Commencement Ceremony

If you plan to participate in the Commencement Ceremony in June you must fill out and return the Undergraduate Response Form which will be mailed to you by the Commencement Office, OR complete the form online at http://www.scu.edu/commencement/

***SPECIAL NOTE:  You can participate in the June Commencement ceremony if you are within 10 units of completing all requirements.
