2007-2008

Religious Studies class

The Department of Religious Studies offers major and minor programs for those who wish to concentrate in the study of scripture and tradition; religion and society; and theology, ethics and spirituality. The aim of the program is to foster an engaged, critical, and integrated understanding of religion in the University's tradition of Jesuit liberal education.

There are currently 48 majors and 45 minors in the Department of Religious Studies.

Requirements for the major and requirements for the minor are provided, along with checklists so that you can keep track of your progress toward the degree.

Other resources available are a list of religious studies seminars, faculty advisors, senior portfolio and graduation guidelines, and information about senior prizes and the religious studies honor society, Theta Alpha Kappa.

Other tabs to the left access further resources for research, careers and graduate school, as well departmental news, student and alumni news, and current events planned by students and faculty in the department.
