Professor Catherine Murphy will give a lecture entitled "Apocalyptic Econimcs: The Bible and the 99%" as part of the SCU Religious Studies Speaker Series.

The event will be held in OCONNOR 205 on May 2, 2012 from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. Past speaker series have been standing room only, so please arrive early to ensure a seat.

Professor Michael McCarthy, SJ will give a lecture entitled "Sacred Politics: Scripture and the Presidential Election" as part of the SCU Religious Studies Speaker Series.

The event will be held in the St. Clare room on April 18, 2012 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.

This March marks the 32nd anniversary of the death of Archbishop Romero and the 35th anniversary of the death of Rutilio Grande, SJ.  Both were friends and companions on a journey of solidarity and justice for the poor of El Salvador. Please join us in remembering their lives and celebrating their memory.

Professor Kristin Heyer writes on the human aspects that are often obscured in the discussion of immigration politics.

In a talk entitled "Would a Mormon President be a Christian President?," Professor James Bennett will address the role of religion in politics, specifically how it will impact the 2012 presidential election.

The event will be held in Benson Conference Room 21 on February 29, 2012 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.
