Religious Diversity: Interfaith Organizations

This project began in 2006 as a study of how six faith-based high schools deal with the region’s (and in some instances, their student body’s) religious diversity in curricular and co-curricular programs. Site observations and interviews have been conducted with administrators and select faculty, the results of which presented at the AAR Western regional conference in March, 2007 by Barbara Tolentino, an independent scholar and LRP Research Associate, and her research assistant, Sheeva Sabati. Documentation and interviews with local interfaith organizations began in Summer 2008 and will continue through the next academic year; and a proposal to present research at the 2009 World Parliament of Religions is underway. This project is funded by a SCU University Grant. For further information, contact Prof. Philip Boo Riley.
