<h4>Documenting a Site: Templates</h4> LRP provides students templates with which to complete their documentation work. The templates provide students guidance and specific instructions about how to proceed, and they provide LRP a means to collect research from different students in an uniform fashion. The Documenting Local Sites for LRP Manual (September 2008) includes templates for three stages in site documentation--overview, portrait and web portrait—and instructions for using them. Available at the LRP website, students should access and download the appropriate templates as they begin their research. Depending on the course or research project in which the students conduct research on a site, faculty may add items to one or more of those templates.
