Celebrating 10 Years of Solidarity in El Salvador

Update from El Salvador - 11/9/2009

Quick Update: We want to assure parents, friends and colleagues that current Casa students are safe. Fortunately, the rains have stopped and so it seems the worst of the flooding has passed. Unfortunately, the poor are always most affected in times like these. As some of you may know, we are hosting a conference this week of Casa alumni. In response to this situation, we have asked them to bring supplies to help communities hardest hit. -Casa staff

10th Anniversary Conference / Reunion

November 2009 is a historic moment in Casa de la Solidaridad history.  Ten years ago, Casa was founded with the intention of commemorating the lives and commitments of the UCA Jesuits, Elba and Celina.  In order to celebrate this event, we are hosting a 10th Anniversary Conference / Reunion for current Casa students and Casa alumni. Feel free to download the tentative schedule of events for the 10th Anniversary as well as the 20th Anniversary Celebration for the UCA martyrs at the UCA:

Deadline Extended: In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the founding of Casa, we have decided to extend the Spring 2010 application deadline to the end of October.  If you would still like to apply, please email either Trena Yonkers-Talz (tyonkerstalz@gmail.com) or Kevin Yonkers-Talz (kyonkerstalz@gmail.com) right away.

Feel free to contact the International Programs Office at Santa Clara University or our staff in El Salvador for more information.
