Info Sessions for World Youth Day and Magis Trip to Brazil
Monday OR Tuesday, January 14 & 15, 7:00 p.m., Campus Ministry
SCU will be sending a group to World Youth Day and Magis in Brazil from July 12- July 28, 2013. World Youth Day is a week-long gathering of over a million Catholic young adults from around the world. The Magis program happens before World Youth Day, where about 3,000 young adults from Jesuit works will gather to celebrate our Ignatian heritage. The trip is limited to ten students, with three leaders. You need to be Catholic and a current SCU freshman, sophomore, or junior in order to be eligible to participate. Applications will be shared at the info sessions. For more information, contact Victor Lemus at vlemus@scu.edu or stop by the Campus Ministry office.

Weekly Wednesday Worship
Wednesdays, 8:00 – 9:00 p.m., Multifaith Sanctuary in St. Joseph’s Hall
This week’s program is the Labyrinth! This is a maze-like winding path that creates a contemplative atmosphere and provides the opportunity to reflect on relationships with people and God. Come for a reflective evening with thoughtful discussion. Don't worry...you won't get lost.

Rick Jones, Catholic Relief Services Deputy Regional Director from the Latin & Central American Region

Rick will be speaking on his extensive experience in Latin America and particularly recent changes he has seen. Rick will also share some of his own journey, both professionally and personally trying to foster non violent transformation.

Misa en Español

Please join us in celebrating the Eucharist with our Spanish-speaking community at our Misa en Español! It will take place in the Mission Church, this Thursday, January 17th, at 8 pm. All are welcome!

If you have served on Search crew in the past, you can apply to be a Search Coordinator. The applications are due this upcoming Thursday. Anyone who has participated in the Search retreat is also welcome to apply for Search Crew. The Search Crew applications are also available online and are due February 1. DISCOVER Retreat
Online applications due January 21
The DISCOVER retreat will be held February 1-3 at the Hidden Villa hostel. This retreat is a dynamic weekend of discernment led by a team of Resident Ministers and student leaders. Spring Break Immersion Trips
Online applications due Thursday, January 24 at 3:00 p.m.
The Ignatian Center at Santa Clara University invites you to apply to be a participant on one of their upcoming Spring break immersion trips.  Immersions offer undergraduate students opportunities to grapple with the gritty reality of communities through the US and internationally. Spring break immersion destinations include Appalachia, San Jose, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Navajo Nation, New Orleans, and Tucson. Information and the online application for the Immersion Companion position are available at www.scu.edu/immersions.
