A Weekend Silent Retreat: Lectio Divina

The Ignatian spirituality which animates Santa Clara University invites all to explore the many ways to find God in our midst and to examine our deepest desires. Quiet reflection and the opportunity to share in conversation with a companion or guide can be helpful tools in this process.

For those at ease with silence and open to the opportunity for spiritual direction, Campus Ministry offers the Silent Directed Retreat. Christians and non-Christians, Catholics and non-Catholics alike are welcome to take part in the weekend.

This year's retreat will draw on the contemplative practice of dwelling with the Word in this text-based reflection.

Who is eligible?

The retreat is designed for SCU students, alumni, faculty, administrators and staff. Spouses and friends of the university may attend on a space-available basis. Privilege is granted for first-time attendees.

When and where?

The retreat will be held Friday afternoon, April 19, through Sunday afternoon, April 21, at the Jesuit Retreat Center in Los Altos.

Format

Each day will include private, individual meeting(s) with a retreat director, as well as liturgy and group prayer.

Transportation

Transportation is provided if needed, or you may bring your own car.

Accommodations

Private rooms with a bathroom and well-balanced meals are provided to each retreatant.

Cost

$60 for students; $90 for faculty and staff. Financial aid is available if necessary.
