Santa Clarans for Social Justice

This student-run group, based out of the Campus Ministry department, convenes weekly to discuss and learn about current issues, reflect on them in light of members' experience and beliefs, and respond to them in a way that respects the dignity of all creation. One of the primary tasks of the group is to create a safe environment in which participants can learn and develop tools for the promotion of justice beyond SCU.

    We'll continue meeting on Tuesdays at 7:30 pm (starting on 9/23) in Campus Ministry and hope you'll join us.

    Here are some issues and activities we will definitely be covering/taking part in this fall:

    • the presidential election and conscientious voting
    • creating a culture of non-violence
    • Visit from Fr. Louie Vitale, OFM

    WHINSEC/SOA Talk and screening of On The Line
    Thursday, 9/25/08 at 6 pm in the Bellarmine Chapel
