Office for Multicultural Learning


The Office for Multicultural Learning staff and student scholars help lead the multicultural initiatives on campus in collaboration with key departments on campus including the Center for Student Leadership, Department of Art and Art History, Drahmann Advising and Learning Resources Center, Ethnic Studies Program, Office of Housing and Residence Life, Unity Residential Learning Community, Undergraduate Admission, and the Vice Provost Office.

Program Director


Originally from East Side San Jose,  Jade is a 4th generation Filipino Chinese American who’s family immigrated to the United States through Hawai’i.  Prior to coming to SCU, Jade worked at the University of Southern California in the School of Cinematic Arts and Asian Pacific American Student Services.  She also brings with her community-based, nonprofit experience and is currently a steering committee member for the Asian Pacific Islander Obesity Prevention Alliance (APIOPA).  Jade earned her B.A. In Sociology and Master's in Public Administration at USC.

Assistant Director, Multicultural Learning & Student Organizations
Center for Student Leadership

Connie is CSL's new Assistant Director for Student Organizations and Multicultural Learning. She will advise all registered student organizations (RSOs or clubs) as well as manage annual programs sponsored by the Office for Multicultural Learning. Connie earned her BA in Human Development from the University of California at San Diego. A year later she received her MS in Higher Education from the University of Pennsylvania. During the previous three years she served as the Coordinator of Student Activities at UCSD. She is originally from the Bay Area.

Office Manager

Pauline comes to SCU after having worked in Canada and Hawaii in different administrative and office managerial positions. She completed her BSc in Biochemistry from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.  Pauline currently holds a dual appointment as Office Manager for both the Office for Multicultural Learning and the Ethnic Studies Program.  In addition to her administrative support responsibilities, Pauline enjoys serving as the Advisor for the Vietnamese Student Association on campus since 2000.
