On-Going Efforts - Since peers play an important role in creating the type of environment that we envision on campus, students serving as Ambassadors, Community Facilitators, Orientation Leaders, and members of the Student Athlete Leadership Group are among the groups that will be called upon to assist in these efforts. The selection, and more importantly, the training programs for peer educators, will be reviewed and revised to ensure that appreciation for differences, cultural competence, appropriate response to bias language and actions, and creating a safe and welcoming environment for students is paramount in the content of the training/educational programs. For more information, contact Jeanne Rosenberger, Office of Student Life at (408)554-4583.
- The Residential Learning Community Program is working to bring the “Tunnel of Oppression” program to campus in the fall. For more information, contact Scott Strawn, Residence Life at (408) 554-4900.
