Educational Testing

The CAPS Administrative Assistant is the regional testing supervisor for many national standardized testing services such as the Educational Testing Service (ETS) and American College Testing (ACT).

    The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is required for admission to most national graduate schools and includes a general exam and a subject exam of approximately 3.5 hours each. This exam is offered on campus 2-3 times per year. Stop by CAPS for an application. For application by mail and/or information:

    The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is required for admission to most of the nation's graduate business programs. This exam consists of 7 sections and requires approximately 5 hours. It is no longer offered at Santa Clara but is now administered frequently in a computerized format in many Bay Area locations. Stop by CAPS for an application.     The Praxis Series exam is required for admission to some of the nation's graduate education programs or to renew licensure in teaching. This exam consists of many sections including Content Knowledge and Content Exercises exams and requires approximately 6 hours. It is offered on campus 2-3 times per year.
