  • iconTedd Vanadilok, Acting Director

    Tedd Vanadilok joined CSL at the start of 2011. In his role, he is the advisor to the Associated Student Government (ASG) and all Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) as well as the campus administrator for OrgSync, the online community for student organizations at Santa Clara. He was formerly the Director of Asian/Asian American Student Affairs at Northwestern University and previously worked for the Multicultural Center at both Northwestern and Duke University. Tedd earned his BA in Psychology and MSEd in Higher Education Administration from Northwestern as well as an MA in Sports Management from The Ohio State University. His professional interests include student organizations, leadership, social justice education, and diversity/inclusion. Outside of work, Tedd enjoys playing ice hockey, reading cookbooks, mixing music, and spending time with his wife, daughter, and two cats.

  • iconAnkita Rakhe, Assistant Director

    Ankita Rakhe joined CSL in the spring of 2010 and serves as the advisor to the Santa Clara Community Action Program (SCCAP) and the Multicultural Center (MCC). She also teaches the Emerging Leaders Program. Ankita earned a BS in Child Development and a Spanish minor from Vanderbilt University. She also earned an MA in Higher Education and Student Affairs from The Ohio State University. Her professional interests include diversity and social justice training, leadership education, gender empowerment, and interfaith discussion and dialogue.

  • iconAlissa Christenson, Assistant Director

    Alissa Christenson came to Santa Clara in the summer of 2010. She serves as the advisor to the Activities Programming Board (APB) and is the Building Manager to the Locatelli Activity Center where CSL is located. Alissa earned a BS in Human Services and Psychology from the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh and an MA in Educational Administration from the University of the Pacific. She recently came from San Jose State University serving as the Freshman Orientation Coordinator. Alissa is passionate about student programming and event planning and excited to be a Bronco!

  • iconArcelia Rodriguez, Administrative Assistant

    Arcelia Rodriguez works with the Chartered Student Organizations (CSOs) and Registered Student Organizations (RSOs). In her role, she supports the CSL staff and student organizations by assisting with budget management and finances. Her personal interests include leadership education, reading, cooking, outdoor activities, and issues related to social justice.

  • iconSamantha Kibbish, Administrative Assistant

    Samantha Kibbish is the new Administrative Assistant with CSL as of September 2011. In her role, she supports the staff and student organizations by assisting in program coordination and reservations. Samantha graduated from San Jose State University in 2009 with a BS in Hospitality Management and a minor in Business. In Samantha's years at SJSU she served as a Resident Advisor for first year students, and was an intern with the SJSU Alumni Association, Special Events Management Team for a semester. After graduation, Samantha began work in the hospitality industry, but quickly jumped at the opportunity to work in higher education. Samantha is excited to be working at Santa Clara and to be involved in student leadership once more!

  • iconGordon Young, Media Advisor

    Gordon Young advises The Santa Clara newspaper, The Redwood yearbook, and the KSCU FM 103.3 radio station. He is a faculty member in the Communication Department, where he teaches a variety of journalism courses and oversees the department's High School Journalism Competition. He earned an MA in Journalism from the University of Missouri and an MA in English Literature from the University of Nottingham. As a freelance journalist, Gordon's work has appeared in The New York Times, Slate, Utne Reader, and numerous other publications. Originally from Flint, Michigan, he now lives in San Francisco.

  • iconKirk Glaser, Media Advisor

    Kirk Glaser serves as Faculty Advisor to the Santa Clara Review. He is a Lecturer in the Department of English with specialties in Creative Writing, American Poetry and Nature Writing, and Writing for Children/Young Adults. As Faculty Advisor to the Santa Clara Review, Dr. Glaser works closely with the student staff and practicum classes to build skills in writing, editing, and publishing as well as supporting the growth of the literary and arts community on campus. Dr. Glaser earned his PhD in English, with a focus on American poetry, at the University of California at Berkeley and his BA, Magna Cum Laude, from Dartmouth College. His poetry has been nominated twice for Pushcart prizes. His poetry and fiction have appeared in The Threepenny Review, Sou"wester, Cortland Review, Cerise Press, Alsop Review, Bloodroot Literary Magazine, Mobius, The Caribbean Review, Berkeley Poetry Review, and elsewhere. He has received numerous awards and fellowships for his work, including an American Academy of Poets prize, C.H. Jones National Poetry Prize, University of California Poet Laureate Award, Richard Eberhart Poetry Prize, and Summer Literary Seminars 2010 Fellowship. Dr. Glaser is currently working on a young adult science fiction novel entitled The Runner Between Worlds as well as revising a manuscript of poems, Leaf of Ash, which was a finalist in a national first-book competition.

  • iconCasey Elder, Graduate Assistant

    Casey Elder is the Assistant to the Advisor for the Activities Programming Board (APB) and helps assist with the management of the Locatelli Activity Center. He is also serving as a Teaching Assistant for the Emerging Leaders Program. Casey began working as a Graduate Student Assistant in CSL in the winter of 2011. He earned a BS in Marketing from Santa Clara in 2009 and is currently working on a double masters degree from the Graduate Program for Higher Education Administration and Counseling Psychology also at Santa Clara. During his free time he enjoys creating music, playing soccer, and watching sports. Originally from Denver he now lives in San Jose.

    Jerel Dutton is the Assistant to the Advisor for the Multicultural Center (MCC) and helps assist with the management of the Locatelli Activity Center. He is also serving as a Teaching Assistant for the Emerging Leaders Program. Jerel began working as a Graduate Student Assistant in CSL in the fall of 2009. He earned a BS in Pyschology and completed a minor in Music at Santa Clara. He is currently enrolled in the Graduate Program for Higher Education Administration also at Santa Clara. During his free time he enjoys playing music and participating in outdoor activities.
