Family Weekend

Family Weekend Registration and Check-in will take place during the following hours in Donohoe Alumni House: 

Friday, February 20: 11 a.m.- 5 p.m.
Saturday, February 21: 8 a.m.- 1 p.m.

Santa Clara parents are important members of the SCU community. We thank each family for their support and partnership with all students through their journey here at Santa Clara University.

We want to extend a special invitation to join us on campus for the 2015 Family Weekend. These events provide you with a great opportunity to learn more about the University and spend some quality time in a fun, social environment with your SCU student.

An invitation will be mailed in late December to the parents of all current students. If you have have questions about the event, please call 408-551-1995.

Family Weekend Activities

  • Attend a class with some of SCU's finest professors and leaders
  • Celebrate a liturgy with the Santa Clara community 
  • Discover why Santa Clara University is nationally recognized for its academics, faculty, outstanding students, and Jesuit tradition
  • Experience the excitement of a Bronco sporting event
  • Dance the night away at the Senior Parent Dinner Dance on Saturday, February 21st at the Fairmont in downtown, San Jose
  • Become part of the SCU family

Parent Senior Dinner Dance Information
Join the Class of 2015 and their parents to attend this Santa Clara tradition. The Senior Parent Dinner Dance is a special candlelight dinner and dance located in the Imperial Ballroom of The Fairmont Hotel in San Jose. Register for this awesome event online through the Family Weekend website.

Dietary restrictions and seating arrangements can all be made online when you register. Seating is arranged by tables of nine. Tables of twelve are very limited. If your seating request exceeds these numbers you will be seated in the same vicinity as your requested family or families.

Ticket Pick-Up will be at Donohoe Alumni House from
11 a.m.- 5 p.m. on Friday, February 20th and from8 a.m.- 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 21st. Your ticket is needed for entrance into the Senior Parent Dinner Dance and will have your assigned table number on it.

Attire: Semi-Formal

Reception Begins at7 p.m.
Doors Open at7:30 p.m.
Candlelight Dinner followed by dancing to the music of the Groove Doctors
8 p.m.

Hotel Information — Room Block Reservations
(SOLD OUT) The Fairmont San Jose
has a block of rooms available. The room rates starts at $169 a night; reference "SCU Family Weekend" Room Block when booking. The Fairmont is located 3.8 miles from campus at 170 South Market Street in San Jose.  The direct reservation number is 1-800-346-5550. The hotel will hold the block until January 23, 2015.

The Sheraton San Jose has rooms starting at $119 per night for Family Weekend. The Sheraton San Jose is located at 1801 Barber Ln, Milpitas, CA 95035, about 7 miles from campus. To book a room at the Sheraton San Jose, please click here.
