Working in Groups (WinG)Teaches students necessary skills to work effectively and efficiently as group members. As a classroom based workshop, WinG will help students develop their leadership potential in the context of working with others in group settings. Who should participate? Students involved in academic group projects. What will you learn? The full program includes:
Through a group initiative followed by a discussion designed to promote understanding of collaborative learning and the benefits and challenges of working in a group. Sample curriculum (pdf). Suggested readings on group work (pdf). Resources from other universities on collaborative learning, concept mapping, self assessment, and group assignments. The CSL staff is available for consultation and to help design a program to meet time constraints and individual projects.
