Kimiko Strayer

Graduate Admissions and Student Services Coordinator

Kimiko Strayer is the Graduate Admissions and Student Services Coordinator for the School of Education and Counseling Psychology. In her role, Kimiko is responsible for guiding all students through admissions and on to graduation. She manages all student applications and records, serves as a liaison to student services, and coordinates student communication and services in order to ensure that students have all the tools and information necessary to have a fulfilling experience at Santa Clara University. In addition, Kimiko is working continuously to improve the admissions process for a smooth and pleasant experience for students.

Kimiko formerly worked at San Jose State University's Graduate School of Business, where she advised prospective graduate students through the admissions process and as students matriculated, through the academic planning and degree completion processes. In addition, Kimiko served as a Student Success Coordinator to undergraduate business students while she was finishing her degree in International Business at San Jose State University. She has served as an English language instructor for Spanish speakers for the Universidad Simon Bolivar in Barranquilla, Colombia. Kimiko can speak Japanese, has working knowledge of Spanish and is learning Mandarin.

Having been born and raised in the diversity of the San Francisco Bay Area, Kimiko enjoys experiencing different cultures, travelling, learning languages, singing and caring for various pets.
