Clear Teaching Credential for Catholic School Teachers
|
Units: 12 quarter units (3 quarter units = 2 semester units) Teachers working in accredited Catholic schools who hold a California Preliminary Multiple or Single Subject Teaching Credential are encouraged to obtain a Clear Teaching Credential through our CTC-approved program of coursework. This program also serves as phase two of the CatMAT program. Students who have completed the Preliminary Teaching Credential phase of the CatMAT program can move into this Clear Teaching Credential phase. Eligible students earn their MAT degree only after successful completion of both phases of the CatMAT block. The clear credential program is a 12-unit, 4-quarter sequence of courses completed in a single calendar year. The yearlong clear credential program has a single entry point: all candidates begin in the fall quarter, move through the program as a cohort, and complete the program the following summer. The program is designed to integrate theory and practice in order to support PreK-12 classroom practices and to increase learning and professional growth. |
