Scott Granet, LCSW
Scott M. Granet, L.C.S.W. has been practicing adolescent and adult psychotherapy for over 30 years since receiving his Masters degree at New York University. He has taught continuing education classes on anxiety, OCD and Body Dysmorphic Disorder throughout the U.S., and has presented on BDD at numerous U.S. and international conferences. He has also written various articles, and appeared on local and national TV and radio shows. Mr. Granet is a clinical social worker with the Palo Alto Medical Foundation Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health and in June 2008 opened the OCD-BDD Clinic of Northern California in Redwood City. Dale G. Larson Ph.D.Instructor
Dale G. Larson, Ph.D. (U. C. Berkeley) is a Professor of Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University, where he directs the graduate Health Psychology Program. He is a Fulbright Scholar, a Fellow in the American Psychological Association, and the recipient of numerous awards for his contributions to end-of-life care. The author of the award-winning book, The Helper's Journey: Working With People Facing Grief, Loss, and Life-Threatening Illness, he has published widely on counseling and health issues, and has had a clinical practice for more than 25 years. His undergraduate degree in psychology is from the University of Chicago, where he was first exposed to the work of Carl Rogers and Gene Gendlin. Robert Navarra, Psy.D., M.F.T.
Dr. Navarra is a Certified Gottman Therapist and Consultant, offering Gottman Couples Workshops, Level 1 and Level 2 Gottman Method Training Workshops. He recently co-authored a chapter with John Gottman titled Gottman Method Therapy: From Theory to Practice, in Case Studies in Couple Therapy: Theory-Based Approaches (Carson & Casado-Kehoe, Eds., 2011).
Dr. Navarra is a Research Scientist at the Relationship Research Institute (Founder and Executive Director, John Gottman) where he and Dr. Gottman are currently collaborating on research, designing a randomized clinical trial integrating Dr. Navarra?s relational model of addiction treatment within the Gottman Method Therapy theory and framework. Additionally, he is Research Associate at Mental Research Institute and Co-founder of the Center for Couples in Recovery at MRI where he developed the Couples Recovery Development Approach, a relational approach to addiction treatment. He has presented his original research at conferences for AAMFT, CAMFT, and the Gottman Institute
Publications include: Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Co-Morbidity, published in Gottman Level ll Training Manual (2009); and Family Response to Adults and Alcohol, in Family Response to Alcohol Problems, (Fischer, Muslow, and Korinek, Eds., 2007).

Thomas G. Plante, Ph.D., ABPP
Thomas Plante, Ph.D., ABPP, is a professor of psychology at Santa Clara University. He is also an adjunct clinical professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine and maintains a private practice in Menlo Park. He is the author of 12 books including, Do the Right Thing: Living Ethically in an Unethical World (New Harbinger, 2004), Contemporary Clinical Psychology, Second Edition (Wiley, 2005), and his newest book, Spiritual Practices in Psychotherapy: Thirteen Tools for Enhancing Psychological Health (American Psychological Association, 2009). Dr. Plante is an entertaining and informative speaker and expert in this area.

Lucila Ramos-Sánchez, Ph.D., is an associate professor of counseling psychology and Coordinator for the Latino Counseling Emphasis at Santa Clara University. She holds a doctorate in counseling/clinical/school psychology, from the UCSB. She has extensive training in and experience with clinical supervision. She has published studies in the areas of multicultural counseling, Latino mental health and supervision. Specifically her research has examined negative supervisory experiences and how they relate to supervisee development. She has presented her research at national conferences such as the American Psychological Association, the National Multicultural Conference and Summit, and the National Latino/a Psychological Conference.
