Description
The purpose of this workshop and conference is to present a scholarly, multidisciplinary, and practical understanding on the topic ofcontemplative practices for the development of well being, wisdom, healing, and stress management that include state-of-the-art science and practice presented for a variety of health care and mental health care professionals and educators. The conference is based on an edited book project from leaders in the field, most of whom are affiliated with the Spirituality and Health Institute (SHI) at Santa Clara University. The presentations will articulate current findings and practice in contemplative practices from a wide range of religious and spiritual traditions and from experts in the integration of contemplative practices and psychology, nursing, pastoral care, education, and so forth in order to achieve enhanced well being.
