Marcia Lattanzi-Licht,LHD, MA, RN, LPC
Marcia Lattanzi-Licht, LHD, MA, RN, LPC is an internationally known educator,
lecturing before professional groups and audiences throughout the US, Canada,
Europe and Australia.
She has appeared on the Today Show, MSNBC and numerous other television and
radio programs. An early voice for
hospice care, Marcia was a co-founder of HospiceCare of Boulder County,
Colorado (1976). She publishes widely in the areas of coping with professional
stress, team building, loss and bereavement care. She is the principal author
of The Hospice Choice and co-editor of Coping with Public Tragedy. Marcia is
the recipient of numerous awards, including an honorary doctorate in humane letters
from the University
of Colorado (2005), the
1984 Winston Churchill Traveling Fellowship, and the 2002 Association for Death
Education and Counseling Educator Award.
In 1995 she received a Heart of Hospice Award from the National Hospice
Organization. She received the Boulder County District Attorney’s highest award
in 1988, the Distinguished Service Award, for her work with victims of
crime. A licensed counselor, Marcia
has maintained a private psychotherapy practice for more than twenty years. She
is also a speaker and consultant to a wide variety of groups and organizations.
