Credential Programs

The aim of the Credential Programs is to prepare teachers who demonstrate excellence in both the theory and practice of teaching and who contribute positively to the growth in knowledge, competence, imagination, social responsibility, and self-esteem of children and adolescents of all abilities and backgrounds. The Teaching Credential Program is approved by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing and meets the program standards outlined by SB 2042. Individuals interested in teaching in the elementary grades will follow the multiple subjects program and those interested in secondary teaching will follow the single subjects program.
