Multiple Subject Credential Requirement Checklist

  • Certificate of Clearance OR copy of a substitute permit must be on file
  • BA Degree or verified BA equivalency (degree confer date must be posted on transcript)
  • CBEST verification
  • US Constitution
  • Subject Matter competence verification: California Subject Examinations for Teachers (CSET) in Multiple Subjects
  • Reading Instruction Competence Assessment (RICA)
  • Health Class Proof of Attendance Must include nutrition, the physiological and sociological effects of abuse of alcohol, narcotics, and drugs, and the use of tobacco

  • CPR Certification (copy of front and back of card, signature required - mst include infant, child and adult skills)
  • Completion of credential coursework

Multiple Subject Internship Requirements

  • Certificate of Clearance OR copy of a substitute permit must be on file
  • BA Degree or verified BA equivalency (Degree confer date must be posted on transcript)
  • CBEST verification
  • US Constitution
  • Subject Matter competence verification: California Subject Examination for Teachers (CSET) in Multiple Subjects
  • District letter indicating beginning date of internship which includes position, school district and county (copy of contract is acceptable)
