Goble Gives Largest Gift
(Left to right) Dr. Cheryl McElvain and Anita Goble

We are extraordinarily pleased to announce that Mrs. Anita Goble, mother of Dr. Cheryl McElvain, a lecturer who specializes in International and Multicultural Education in the Department of Education, has given the School a gift of $100,000. It is the largest donation ever received by the School. We should all thank Anita Goble for her generosity and support.

Anita Goble  was an elementary school teacher for 16 years in the Cambrian Schools. Her deep commitment to education led her to explore the idea of providing a gift to ECPPM.  Her gift will be used to help complete three current scholarships in teacher education, special education, and counseling psychology. She will also have her own Anita Goble Research Scholarship to support students doing research with full-time faculty (either lecturers or tenure-track faculty) in the School.   Her gift will help provide scholarships for our many needy graduate and credential students. Fr. Paul  Locatelli, President of Santa Clara University, is extremely pleases to see this significant donation to the School, and we hope that it inspires many others to contribute at whatever level is possible for them. These contributions are of invaluable assistance to the School as we work diligently to actualize the mission of educating compassionate professionals to transform lives, schools, and communities.
