Financial Aid

Any student interested in being considered for a scholarship or grant must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). www.fafsa.ed.gov  Santa Clara University School Code: 001326  School forms for 2008-09 are due July 15, 2008.  Summer applications are due May 15, 2008.

University financial aid (loans) can be obtained from the University Financial Aid Office (408-554-4505).

Education Grants/Scholarships

Tuition Scholarships for the San Jose Diocese Employees  A 20 percent tuition scholarship is available for full-time teachers, counselors, and administrators employed by the Diocese of San Jose who are taking graduate courses in the School. Tuition scholarship applies to degree and nondegree students.  Form for 2008-09

Loans

Because scholarships and grants are limited, many students applying for aid find the most advantageous method of financing their education is through loan programs. Among those available to students in the graduate programs are the Federal Perkins Loan, Federal Direct Loans, and Assumption Program of Loans for Education (APLE). Application forms and further information may be obtained from the Financial Aid Office (408)-554-4656.

Federal Work-Study Program

School students may qualify on the same basis as other students at the University.

Financial Aid Notice

Students who enroll for fewer than 1/2 time status (<4.5 units) during the regular academic year will not be eligible for financial aid and will exhaust their loan grace period and be moved to the repayment status by their lenders.
