Santa Clara University Emergency Procedures Handbook is prepared by Facilities Environmental, Health, and Safety to assist members of the campus community in reporting and dealing with emergency and non-emergency situations appropriately. This publication addresses the most common situations or incidents that have occurred in the past and those that are most likely to occur in the future.
Your judgment often determines whether or not an incident is considered to be an emergency. If considered an emergency, the procedures in this booklet should be followed. If in doubt, err on the side of safety.
Campus Safety is located in the first floor of the Parking Structure, and is staffed 24 hours a day, for your assistance and protection.
Emergency Call Boxes are placed in various locations around campus. Each box is equipped with a push button, which dials a direct line of communication with the Campus Safety Dispatcher.
Any questions regarding emergency procedures should be directed to the Director of Campus Safety or to Environmental, Health and Safety Manager.
