Avery Lu

averyluAvery Lu has over 17 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, working in the various roles of Applications Engineer, Field Applications Engineer, Global Account Manager, Business Development Manager, Product Marketing Manager and Segment Marketing Manager.Over the course of his career, he has supported, promoted and managed products for Digital, Analog & Mixed-signal technologies, including standard products, application specific standard products (ASSPs), complex programmable logic devices (CPLDs), field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), application specific integrated circuit (ASICs) and system-on-a-chip (SoCs).Mr. Lu holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University, completed graduate coursework in Santa Clara University's Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering program, and earned a Marketing Management Certificate from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Mr. Lu began his career at Xilinx as an Applications Engineer, where he was responsible for supporting North American customers on all programmable logic solutions (both ICs & EDA). He went on to work for Viewlogic Systems where he supported customers in the use of the company's EDA tools.Mr. Lu has many years of experience as a Field Applications Engineer for Cypress Semiconductor, American Microsystems, Winbond Electronics, and Toshiba American Electronic Components, supporting customers across the Western USA (products:memory, microcontrollers, clock chips, bios H/W monitoring, text-to-speech, communication ICs, ASICs, to name a few).At Toshiba, he moved into Global Account Management of Tier 1 accounts (Apple, Cisco, Broadcom, Seagate), and eventually Business Development/Product Marketing (analog & wireless products) for all of North America.Most recently, he joined Infineon Technologies North America, where he currently serves in the role of Regional Segment Marketing Manager for the Western USA (power management products), and has segment/applications responsibility for the North American Solar market.

In his spare time, Mr. Lu is involved in several professional associations and volunteers in his local community. In addition to serving Santa Clara University, he works with a wide variety of public and non-profit organizations.He also enjoys spending time quality time with his wife and daughter, who reside with him in San Jose, California.
