Yuling Yan with colleagues from Berkeley and Wisconsin has published a paper in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS). The paper describes a completely new approach for fluorescence imaging. Optical Lock-in Detection (OLID) imaging microscopy using optical switch probes greatly increases image contrast of specifically labeled proteins in living cells and tissue. The paper is highlighted in the "In the News" section of PNAS. |
