    Manager, Business Development, Yahoo! Small Business

    Location: Sunnyvale, CA

    Responsibilities:

    As the Manager, Business Development, Yahoo! Small Business, you will be part of a small business development team directly responsible for prospecting, negotiating, and closing partnerships for Yahoo!, with a focus on growing Yahoo!s Small Business Strategy. Partnerships could involve content providers, new products and services, and major advertising partners. In addition, this individual will play a direct role in advising the business and product leadership in formulating the growth strategy and ongoing direction. Ability to manage and close on a multitude of deals is an important component of the position, and experience in the area of small business or advertising services is valued but not absolutely required.

    Specific duties include:

    Prospect, qualify, negotiate and close deals in an aggressive time-frame
    Partner with Finance to developing business models to analyze deals
    Multitasking and organization: ability to manage and close on multiple deals and processes
    Work with internal teams to ensure proper alignment against product, editorial, sales requirements
    Lead contract negotiations
    Track and report all pipeline activity, project close dates accurately, drive to completion

    In addition, this person should have an experienced/tenured business development track record, strong online experience, experience with complex deal structuring, an ability to navigate across complex organizations, an ability to establish credibility quickly, willingness to take action, make decisions and lead.

    Requirements:

    A BS/BA is required, MBA or equivalent degree preferred
    Minimum of 3 years of business development, deal structuring or other relevant experience is preferred

    • Direct experience with deal negotiations structuring is required for the role
    • Excellent leadership, prioritization, communication, analytic and quantitative skills

    High degree of comfort overseeing major projects, working independently, and working with senior executives is also necessary.

  •  Electrical Engineering Instructor

    Are you a local Bay Area EE professor or grad student?  We’re currently hiring an instructor to teach a wide range of Electrical Engineering topics. 

     
    Electrical Engineering Instructor:

    We’re looking for a qualified individual, preferably with an FE/EIT certification, to instruct lessons on electrical engineering concepts.  Professors and grad students are encouraged to apply, but all qualified applicants will be considered. This is a great opportunity to gain national academic publicity.  This is a contract position that is flexible with hours.  For the right candidate, this could be a part-time job after standard business hours. 

    Our ideal candidate is an effective communicator with some instructional or educational experience in the electrical engineering field. You take direction well and are a team player. You know electrical engineering inside and out.  You can independently develop clear learning objectives and brief, concise, and clear lessons. You must be willing to be filmed and sign a talent release.

    Requirements:

    Demonstrated knowledge of electrical engineering topics

    Experience teaching electrical engineering topics

    Positive attitude and engaging personality

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

    Detail oriented

    Deadline driven

    Able to work with little or no supervision

    Fast and accurate in completing tasks

    Flexible and able to quickly adapt
