Join us for the 44th annual showcase of engineering seniors' work. Stop in for a few minutes or stay all afternoon as students present their work on capstone projects ranging from straw bale construction techniques to mobile apps for the homeless.

We hope you will join us for this signature event of the School of Engineering.

Bonita Banducci

Bonita Banducci,  School of Engineering adjunct lecturer and owner of Banducci Consulting, was selected by San Jose Business Journal as one of this year's 100 most influential women in Silicon Valley, in recognition of her research and work to build understanding and skills to work effectively with gender differences as competencies. Read more.

Michael Barone

Michael Barone ’88 served as a mentor for the First Robotics Team at Dallas Jesuit. The Dallas Team earned a position in the finals where they partnered with the First Robotics Team from Bellarmine Prep Of San Jose and two other teams to win the First Robotics World Championship in St. Louis, Missouri! Congratulations!

The Tech Museum of Innovation

The Frugal Innovation Lab and San Jose's Tech Museum of Innovation recently held their first Social Innovation Workshop. Sponsored by NASDAQ and Accenture, the workshop focused on how technology can be harnessed to benefit the homeless. Three more workshops are coming up.  Read more.

Claire Kunkle '14

Claire Kunkle '14, has been awarded a prestigious NSF Graduate Research Fellowship to fund her Ph.D.studies at U.C. Berkeley. Read more about Claire hereRachel Wilmoth '14 (mechanical engineering) and Erik McAdams '14 (civil engineering) were also recently selected as alternates for Fulbright Awards.

Spacecraft News: Students, staff and faculty in the Robotic Systems Laboratory (RSL) have been working around the clock, running contacts with two new, recently launched NASA spacecraft. Tenure and Promotion: Congratulations to Yuling Yan (bioengineering) who was awarded tenure and promotion to full professor, and to Mohammad Ayoubi (mechanical engineering), who was awarded tenure and promotion to associate professor.
