Prof. Singh's Monkey Wisdom

Civil Engineering Professor Sukhmander Singh has compiled his cherished stories in a new book called "Monkey Wisdom and Other Stories," a collection of tales colleagues and students have enjoyed over the years. Copies are available for $5 at the Civil Engineering Department. Email Melanie Massie for more information:

Tour SCU's Solar House

SCU's award-winning 2009 Solar Decathlon Refract House will be open for visitors Saturday, October 13, 1-4 p.m., here on campus. Come and see the engineering innovations that brought 3rd Place honors at the U.S. Department of Energy's competition. The 2013 team will be on hand to tell you all about their plans for the upcoming contest, too. No need to sign up; just come!

Nominate a Distinguished Engineer

The deadline for submitting nominations for the highest honor bestowed by the School of Engineering, the Distinguished Engineering Alumnus Award, is fast approaching. This award recognizes alumni whose accomplishments in their professions, communities, and/or University service have set them apart. Maybe that's your college roommate...maybe that's YOU! (Self-nominations are gladly accepted.) Submit your nomination by October 15.
