Who Can Apply This program is open to students who are completing a BS degree in either computer engineering or computer science with a minimum GPA of 3.0. This program is open to students who are completing a BS in electrical engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.2 in ELEN, math and physics courses. This program is open to students who are completing a BS in Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum GPA of 3.0
When to Apply for Admission Students are required to enroll in the Joint BS/MS Program between February of the junior year and December 1 of the senior year.
When student begins taking courses Accepted students may enroll in graduate courses as early as spring term of the junior year.
Graduation Statement Students in this program will receive a BS degree after satisfying the standard undergraduate degree requirements. Students will then be matriculated to an MS program and must then fulfill all the requirements for the MS degree. (Joint BS/MS Program in ELEN must be completed within six years of entering the university. After six years the, maximum number of transfer units will revert to 9.)

Notes:
1. BS degrees (for those who are graduating seniors) must be posted by Sept. 1 to allow the student progression in their graduate career.
2. Course numbers below 200 indicate undergraduate courses; numbers of 200 and above indicate graduate courses. Students may take courses assigned both undergraduate and graduate numbers (same title used for both numbers) only one time, either as an undergraduate or graduate student.
3. Undergraduate students must submit "Permission to Take Graduate or Undergraduate Course" form (pdf) to be correctly registered for graduate courses.
