  2. An official undergraduate transcript for students who have earned a bachelor's degree.  For current college seniors, send a transcript in progress.  Upon completion of the degree, it is the student's responsibility to send us a final official transcript, without which a student cannot enroll at SCU.
  3. An official graduate transcript, if any
  4. Official GRE sent directly from ETS (except the Engineering Management Program).  Our institutional code is 4851.
  5. Official TOEFL/IELTS for international students sent directly from testing agencies.  Our institutional code is 4851.

*GRE Waiver Option: Students who would like to request a GRE waiver, please submit an online application and send in your transcript before you submit this PDF GRE Waiver Request Form for M.S. in Applied Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Software Engineering applicants.  A completed application will help us make informed decisions about whether a waiver should be granted or not.

Please note: GRE Waiver Request is not available for students applying for M.S. in Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering.

Please also note: Students apply for M.S. in Engineering Management and Leadership, Open University and Certificates do not need GRE. GRE scores will be waived for recent SCU graduates from the School of Engineering without submitting a GRE Waiver Request Form.

**TOEFL/IELTS Waiver Option: TOEFL or IELTS is required of international students, except those who received a degree (undergraduate or graduate) from an English speaking country (e.g. India, Singapore, Canada), or those who demonstrate proficiency in English.  However, and in rare cases, students may be asked to take the TOEFL or IELTS if the GRE verbal score is too low.  For the working professionals who are already working in the Valley and are proficient with their English, please email GradEngineer@scu.edu, or call 408-554-4748 to request a waiver.

***We accept notarized copies of documents from foreign schools. For documents in English, we accept copies that are certified by a U.S. notary public. For documents in foreign languages, we accept certified translations made by appointed court interpreters in those countries.  International transcripts must be submitted (translated) in English. Please note: sometimes degree conferral may be issued separately from transcript; if this is the case, the document indicating degree conferral/diploma must also be submitted in English.

****Applicants who hold a 3-year bachelor's degree are required to have their official transcripts evaluated by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). For more information, contact a member organization of NACES.

Finally, we do not issue I-20 to applicants who wish to enter directly into our Certificate or Open Universisty programs.  We issue I-20 to full-time international students who start a degree program.
