Dr. Eva Harris, MacArthur Genius Award winner and founder/President of the Sustainable Sciences Institute, has dedicated her career to research focused on developing molecular diagnostic techniques and scientific literacy in resource-poor settings.

Entrepreneurial Thinking Pentathlon

February 1 - March 6, 2015

This quarter, five events over the course of five weeks will test students' entrepreneurial spirit. Starting Feb. 1, teams will be given a different task to complete each week. Tasks will include writing a haiku, completing a scavenger hunt, creating value from a seemingly valueless item, presenting a new product concept in a poster presentation, and giving an elevator pitch for a new business concept. Prizes of $100-$500 (depending on the event) will go to the weekly winners, with a $1,000 grand prize going to the overall winner. More details here.
