Nam Ling Named IEEE Distinguished Lecturer
Nam Ling, professor of computer engineering, was recently named a Distinguished Lecturer of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers’ (IEEE) Circuits and Systems Society (CASS). This is the second time Ling has been so honored. One of only ten members selected for this position during the 2007-2008 term, Ling’s appointment was based on the recognition of his professional competence and expertise, and his communication and presentation skills. CASS Distinguished Lecturers serve the needs of their Society by addressing working engineers, academics, and students in different parts of the world in government and industry, bringing them up to date on the practical application of the latest research results. IEEE is the world's largest engineering professional society, with more than 365,000 members, including 68,000 students, in over 150 countries. It has approximately 1,570 chapters uniting local members with similar technical interests, and more than 1,430 student branches at colleges and universities in 80 countries. |
