Scholarly Publications

The School of Law produces three outstanding legal publications, and we encourage you to subscribe and support them with your readership.

The Santa Clara Computer and High Technology Law Journal

The Santa Clara Computer and High Technology Law Journal is an independent scholarly legal publication founded in 1984 by SCU School of Law students. The Journal has achieved national and international circulation and recognition as a leading forum for multidisciplinary discourse on emerging issues at the juncture of technology, law, and public policy. The Journal’s subscribers include leading law libraries of federal and state courts, law firms, and corporations worldwide.

The Journal’s publications have made noteworthy contributions to significant decisions in intellectual property and technology law. For instance, two Journal articles received mention in the landmark Festo decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in 2000. In a 2002 study conducted by Washington & Lee University School of Law, the Journal was ranked among the top five most frequently cited legal publications in its subject area by both state and federal courts, and by scholarly articles published in other legal publications.
