Markkula Center for Applied Ethics Director of Bioethics Margaret R. McLean talks with Center Executive Director Kirk O. Hanson about the recent outbreak of Swine Flu and the ethical issues it may pose. In 2007, McLean worked with Santa Clara County (Calif.) on an “Ethics Toolkit” for pandemic planning. She has discussed “ethical preparedness” in an article for the Center’s Web site, “The Coming Pandemic.” |
