Environmental Ethics Fellow

  MEGHAN MOONEY

Meghan Mooney, a junior at Santa Clara University, is Undergraduate Fellow in Envirnonmental Ethics for 2007-08. Mooney's fellowship project will be to conduct a study of the "culture of sustainability" at SCU. That study will seek to identify the degree to which the SCU community understands and is committed to the values of sustainability. The study will also make recommendations for how the University can move ahead in its ongoing efforts to create a sustainable campus. Mooney will work closely on the study with the Ethics Center, with a program called Sustainability at SCU, and with the Sustainable Living Undergraduate Research Project. A Seattle-area resident, Ms. Mooney has a dual major in anthropology and environmental studies. During the past year, she was the communications coordinator of SCU's Solar Decathlon Team, which won third place in an international undergraduate competition to build a solar-powered house.
