Patrick Coutermarsh

Patrick Coutermarsh is the Ethics Center's first Fellow in Applied Ethics. He will work under the direction of Executive Director Kirk Hanson primarily on researching and writing for the Center's new interactive webpage project. He will also provide research and assistance in case writing and commentary on ethical dilemmas in business ethics, government ethics, and other fields. In addition, Coutermarsh will assist in coaching the University's Ethics Bowl team. Coutermarsh graduated from Santa Clara University in 2013 with a double degree in philosophy and economics, and was chosen for the Sourisseau Award for outstanding achievement in philosophy. During his senior year, Patrick worked as a Hackworth Fellow, creating and leading SCU's first Ethics Bowl team in the California Regional competition.
