As interim administrator of the Health Care Ethics Internship, Anna Kozas will support a program that she herself participated in during the 2007-08 school year. The following year, she became a health care ethics fellow at the Center, assisting the director of the internship. In her new capacity, she will administer the program, which brings SCU undergraduates into local hospitals and hospices for a firsthand look at ethical dilemmas in medicine. Kozas was the 2008-09 winner of the University's Markkula Prize,
which honors a graduating senior who has done the most outstanding
work in applied ethics over the course of his or her college
career. She was also a communications intern for the ALSAC/St.
Jude's Research Hospital.
