Environmental Ethics FellowshipsThe Fellowship in Environmental Ethics has been awarded annually to an outstanding Santa Clara University undergraduate to support a project that examines the ethical implications of an environmental topic. Over the last years the projects have focused on environmental activities underway at Santa Clara University itself ranging from the moral choices that went into the construction of a green building on campus to the progress toward the creation of a culture of sustainability at the university. The fellows work out their project in consultation with the Ethics Center staff and with the Sustainability Coordinator at the University. The Environmental Ethics Fellowship was established in 2005-06 and continues through the generous support of John (SCU '64) and Joan Casey. If you are interested in supporting a student to do work on ethics in this or another field, please contact Jim Balassone. |
