ow do you determine what's a fair wage or salary? And how do you determine what's a fair distribution of wages and salaries? The recent controversy over the payment of millions of dollars in bonuses to executives of AIG raised these questions in sharp new ways. The controversy also occurred against the backdrop of the vast divide in recent years between the salaries of top American earners and the pay of all the rest. This panel discussion will explore this ethical issue, while also paying attention to its contractual and economic dimensions.
