Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano ('79) is one of our nations most innovative political leaders and was chosen by Time Magazine as one of Americas Top Five Governors. Prior to her election as governor, Napolitano served as U.S. Attorney for Arizona and as Arizonas first female Attorney General. She is a national leader in addressing the issue of illegal immigration and was the first governor to call for the National Guard at the border at federal expense.
