Francis J. "Frank" Daly appointed Fellow at the Markkula Center for Applied EthicsLeading Ethics Officer and former Chairman of the Board of the Ethics Officer Association will join the Ethics Center.Frank Daly, formerly Ethics Officer at Northrop Grumman Corp., has accepted a position as Fellow at the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University. Daly was chairman of the Board of the Ethics Officer Association and a member of the Working Group of the Defense Industry Initiative on Business Ethics and Conduct. At the Ethics Center, Daly will play a major supporting role in the Business and Organizational Ethics Partnership, a group of 10 scholars and 14 business executives, who conduct research and dialogue on business ethics. He will also work on the Center's February 2005 Global Conference on Business Ethics, "The Accountable Corporation", and provide general guidance to the Ethics Center's business ethics work. "This relationship provides us the opportunity to take advantage of Frank's extensive experience," said Ethics Center Executive Director Kirk O. Hanson. In addition to his work as an ethics officer, Daly has written on business ethics and presented widely on the topic to academic, ethics practitioner, and other professional groups. Daly lives in Southern California with his wife Janice. They have two grown children. His undergraduate work focused on philosophy and theology, and he holds a master's degree from the University of San Francisco. December 1, 2004 |
