Honzel Fellowships in Health Care EthicsThe Honzel Fellowship in Health Care Ethics supports a Santa Clara University senior in working with the Center's Health Care and Bioethics Program, particularly with the Health Care Ethics Internship Program. Fellows serve as peer mentors for students participating in the yearlong intern program, which brings undergraduates into local hospitals and hospices to learn firsthand about the ethical dilemmas facing professionals in the field. The Honzel Fellowship is awarded to an outstanding senior who has successfully completed the internship during his/her junior year. Support for the Honzel Fellowships in Health Care Ethics comes from the Honzel Family Foundation, which also provides major support to the broader Center focus on health care ethics and biotechnology. 2009 Honzel Fellow Anna Kozas |
