Practical Sports EthicsListen to Jim Thompsons remarks. Jim Thompson, founder and executive director of Positive Coaching Alliance, spoke on at a recent Ethics at Noon event at the Ethics Center called "Practical Sports Ethics: Creating a Culture of Level 3 Competitors" (Level 3 Athletes Compete by the Code of Honoring the Game). The Positive Coaching Alliance is a non-profit in Palo Alto, Calif., with the mission to create a movement to transform the culture of youth sports so that all youth athletes have a positive, character-building experience. Since its founding in 1998, Positive Coaching Alliance has developed a network of trainers across the U.S., who have delivered more than 3,600 workshops for youth sports leaders, coaches, parents and athletes. Thompson has a degree in elementary education from the University of North Dakota, a Masters in Public Affairs from the University of Oregon, and an MBA from Stanford.
