This Multimedia presentation viewed the role of the father through dance. Richard Scott, Mathematics, published “Right-Angled Mock Reflection and Mock Artin Groups” in Transactions of the American Mathematical Society (Vol. 360, No. 8, 2008). Russell Skowronek, Anthropology, co-authored a book titled HMS Fowey Lost and Found: Being the Discovery, Excavation, and Identification of a British Man-of-War Lost off the Cape of Florida in 1748 (University Press of Florida, 2009). He also published Situating Mission Santa Clara de Asís: 1776-1851. Documentary and Material Evidence of Life on the Alta California Frontier: A Timeline (Berkeley: Academy of American Franciscan History, 2006). Iris Stewart-Frey, Environmental Studies, published a paper in the January 2009 issue of Hydrologic Processes titled “Changes in Snowpack and Snowmelt Runoff for Key Mountain Regions.” William Stover, Political Science, co-authored an article with Marina Mankaryous, an SCU undergraduate student, titled “Sovereignty over Jerusalem: A Legal Solution to a Disputed Capital,” which was published in the International Journal on World Peace in December 2008. He published “Simulating the Cuban Missile Crisis: Crossing Time and Space in Virtual Reality,” in International Studies Perspectives (2007.8.111-120). Fred Tollini, S.J., Theatre and Dance, was a featured performer at the 2008 Transfiguration Catholic Parish Festival, where he sang three songs from “Man of La Mancha,” performed a 15-minute “King Lear,” and played several pieces on the violin. His manuscript, Donald Oenslager: The Fine Art of Variation in Scene Design now is available from Edwin Mellen Press. Ed Maurer, Civil Engineering, co-authored a report titled “Climate Change Scenarios and Sea Level Rise for the California 2008 Climate Change Scenarios Assessment,” published in the Public Interest Energy Research Program Reports and sponsored by the California Energy Commission in 2009. Maurer and Peter Kareiva, Environmental Studies Institute, were among the co-authors of “Projected Climate-Induced Faunal Change in the Western Hemisphere,” which appeared in the March 2009 issue of Ecology.
