The Office of Development received a 2007 CASE Wealth Engine Award for overall performance in Educational Fundraising.

The Office of Marketing and Communications (OMC) earned five awards from Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District VII in December 2008, placing the University in the top tier of schools recognized. Santa Clara Magazine earned more medals than any other magazine in the region. It received gold for photography, in recognition of the photo essay by SCU’s own Art and Art History Lecturer David Pace, “The Person in Front of You,” (Winter 2007), and for the illustration by Dugald Stermer accompanying the article “How to Win a Cosmic War” (Winter 2007). The magazine also garnered bronze for writing and overall excellence. A gold medal also went to the 2007–08 SCU View Book, the publication sent to prospective students and showcasing all that Santa Clara offers. In 2007, OMC earned four silver awards from CASE District VII. The awards of excellence marked outstanding achievements in alumni and donor publications, student recruitment, and internal communications: honors went to Santa Clara Magazine; the 2005–06 President’s Report; SCU’s undergraduate recruitment video; and fyi, the online newsletter for faculty and staff.
